As an artist, I am constantly exploring the depths of my highly creative mind, seeking to express the thoughts and emotions that swirl within me.

Marcello Muiesan, born in Verona (Italy) on 15th January 1971, has exhibited remarkable creativity across various mediums from a young age, including drawing, painting, and photography. During his teenage years, he followed in the footsteps of his father, Lucio Muiesan, a renowned footballer for Bologna and Roma in the 1960s and 1970s. However, his sporting career was cut short at the age of 21 due to a serious injury. Undeterred, Marcello embraced a new path and enrolled at the University of Bologna in 1992 to study Economics. Although he did not complete his studies, this period reignited his passion for creativity.

 

Between 1994 and 1997, Marcello served in the Carabinieri military branch before relocating to London, where he currently resides. In London, he pursued his passion by undertaking graphic design courses. Initially, Marcello supported his studies by working as a waiter while also freelancing on various creative projects.

 

In 2005, he became a co-owner of a graphic and web design agency while simultaneously pursuing his studies to become a sommelier. By 2007, Marcello shifted his focus to the restaurant industry, where he refined his leadership skills and managed fine dining establishments. Through his work, he collaborated with both Michelin-starred and non-starred chefs, allowing him to explore and enhance his creativity in the culinary arts.

Leveraging his experience as a sommelier and his deep-rooted passion for food and beverages, Marcello established the wine import company "Il Tastevin LTD" in 2009. Furthermore, in 2016, he launched the online store www.wineandtruffle.co.uk. This platform not only showcases top-quality wines but also offers a private chef service and organizes special dinners.

 

During the challenging times of the 2020 pandemic, Marcello Muiesan turned to painting to overcome the emotional void left by the end of a significant relationship. Despite being diagnosed with melanoma in 2022, he persisted and participated in six exhibitions, successfully selling his initial artworks. Marcello's inherent empathy, unwavering determination, and adaptability have propelled his journey.

 

Marcello Muiesan, encompassing his diverse talents as a painter, chef, sommelier, and entrepreneur, epitomises a life dedicated to creativity, innovation, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. His artistic expression intertwines culinary techniques with painting techniques, crafting abstract pieces that reflect his emotions, moods, and sentiments. Drawing inspiration from his love for cooking, his discerning aesthetic taste, and his unyielding drive to create, Marcello Muiesan continues to make his artistic mark on the world.
